Immediate dentures aren’t designed to replace missing teeth for good—they simply provide comfort and stability during the weeks or months that it will take you to get the implants or other prosthetic attachments needed for permanent replacement teeth. They are made from a soft and flexible material to protect your remaining teeth and gums from damage as your mouth heals from the extraction.
At first glance, it can be difficult to differentiate an immediate denture from a standard set of dentures. However, the differences are simple and they make a big difference in how you feel about your dentures.
On the other hand, permanent dentures are usually made of metal and acrylic components that can be permanently fastened to your gums. They will replace teeth with sturdier, more cosmetic replacements—essentially, they’re designed to last for as long as you need them!

Our Denture Options

We offer two main options for patients who are considering dentures after teeth removal:
1. Immediate dentures – Fitted at the time of your tooth extraction, immediate dentures are pre-made to be ready for insertion on the same day.
2. Delayed immediate dentures
– Delayed dentures are manufactured around 6 weeks following your extraction. We only use this option for patients whose teeth are too loose or over-erupted.
